The Haydn & Rollett partnership is turned into a limited company – Haydn & Rollett Ltd.
1952
Ngaire Clark, Haydn & Rollett’s first office lady starts work. Haydn & Rollett build their first office and workshop at 46 Barry’s Point Road, Takapuna.
1953
Haydn & Rollett build their first shop in Queen Street — La Rue, on the corner of Vulcan Lane.
Following this job, Haydn & Rollett increase staff numbers and start running several jobs simultaneously. Haydn & Rollett secures thirteen sections through the NZ Government Group Building Scheme and builds their first group of homes, on the corner of Exmouth and College Roads, Northcote.

Haydn & Rollett showcase their housing in the North Shore Parade of Homes.
1959
Auckland Harbour Bridge opens, connecting the North Shore to downtown Auckland.

Haydn & Rollett showcase their housing in the Northcote Parade of Homes.
By 1960 most of Haydn & Rollett’s work, apart from residential building, is on the “city side” of the bridge.
1962
Haydn & Rollett come to the end of their house building era and start to work on shop, bank and office fit-outs. This quickly becomes a large part of their business.
1964
George Rollett turns 60 and retires after 18 years in the business.
Trevor Hefford is invited by George Hadyn to join the company.
1967
Molly Macalister, George Haydn’s wife, unveils a monumental bronze sculpture of ‘Maori figure in a Kaitaka cloak’ in front of the Auckland Chief Post Office, Queen Elizabeth Square.

Eric Wilson joins Haydn & Rollett as a Quantity Surveyor.
1979
George Haydn turns 60 and retires after 33 years in the business. Trevor Hefford takes on the role of Managing Director at Haydn & Rollett.

Haydn & Rollett completes development and construction of a business park at 62 Diana Drive, Wairau Valley. They leave Wairau Rd and move into new premises at this location.
Metrim Mouldings owned by Haydn & Rollett, established in own unit following move to new premises. The metal mouldings were required for shop fitout work.
1987
New Zealand wins the inaugural Rugby World Cup in Auckland.
Share market crash in October.
Fit out of all public spaces and bedrooms in the Park Royal Hotel, Auckland.
Construction completed of two new churches for the Latter Day Saints, Auckland.
1989

XIVth Commonwealth Games held in Auckland.
With the advent of aluminium joinery, Metrim Mouldings is closed down.

Trevor Hefford retires after 27 years in the business. Eric Wilson takes on the role of Managing Director at Haydn & Rollett.
The Employment Contract Act is introduced in New Zealand, bringing major changes to the industry.
1992
Extensions and fit out of St Lukes Shopping Centre.
Construction completed of all the new buildings in the Wairau Park development North Shore.
1993
Sam Bufton joins Haydn & Rollett as Construction Manager.
1994
Seismic upgrade and refurbishment of Takapuna Grammar School (Contract value $4 million).
1995
Seismic upgrade and refurbishment of Auckland Grammar School (Contract value $6 million).
1996
Seismic upgrade and refurbishment of Jubilee Building, Parnell (Contract value $2.2 million).
Construction of the Waitakere District Courts, Henderson, a Haydn & Rollett development (Project value $8 million).

Eric Wilson retires after 20 years in the business. Sam Bufton is appointed Managing Director.

Manufacturing facility and office completed for Transpak Industries, Albany together with purchase of Porana Rd building, a Haydn & Rollett development (Project value $17 million) ans sold to Property For Industry (PFI). The first of 32 major projects delivered with PFI over the following years.
Commenced roll out of Carter’s stores at Tawa Drive, Constellation Drive, Papakura and refurbishments at Henderson, St Lukes and Panmure.
Construction of Paradice Skating Arena, Botany Downs (Contract value $4.5 million).

Construction commenced on major industrial warehouse park, The Gate, Penrose, including the 22,000m² Distribution Centre for Carter Holt Harvey Tissue, a Haydn & Rollett joint venture development (Project value $35 million). The completed development was sold to Goodman Property. The first of 40 major projects delivered with Goodman over the next 14 years.
Work commenced on major retail development project, The Hub, Botany Downs, a Haydn & Rollett joint venture development (Project value $30 million).
Project management of first major off-shore industrial project, The Gate, Melbourne, a Haydn & Rollett joint venture development (Project value A$21 million).

Construction of Canon New Zealand’s head office, Northcote, a Haydn & Rollett development (Project value $13 million).

Major contractor in the fitout of Auckland Hospital’s new Acute Services Building (Contract value $18.2 million).

Construction of Clifton luxury apartments on the Takapuna cliff top, Auckland, a Haydn & Rollett joint venture development (Contract value $8.2 million).
Construction of a 26 metre high warehouse facility for Recall at The Gate, Penrose (Contract value $3.8 million).

Metlifecare “The Poynton” Village Stage 1 project in Takapuna commences (Contract value $49.6 million). In total, $114 million worth of work was completed at the retirement village.

Redevelopment of the old 5 hectare Carter’s Tissue facility at Henderson for Webstar, a Haydn & Rollett joint venture development (Project value $27 million).
20,000m2 warehouse for Supercheap at Savill Link, Otahuhu completed (Contract value $11.6 million).
2013
Turnkey delivery of the new Cardinal Logistics 27,000m2 distribution centre at Wiri (Contract value $18.4 million). The first of seven projects to be delivered for Cardinal Logistics.
The old Sony head office is redeveloped with an extra level added, a Haydn & Rollett joint venture development (Project value $13 million).

2016
The final stage of the Carlaw Park Student Village is completed, a Haydn & Rollett joint venture development (Project value $104 million), thereby bringing to an end a 15-year redevelopment programme of the old Carlaw Park rugby league grounds in conjunction with Auckland Rugby League and McDougall Reidy & Co.
Construction of the Bulk Store Hub (Contract value $15.5 million) following completion of multiple buildings at 124 Hewlett’s Rd, Mt Maunganui for Property for Industry (PFI).
Completion of the world class Sistema Plastics Manufacturing Facility at Te Tiki Rd, Mangere. Total building area of 53,000m2 (Contract value $57 million).
2017
Completion of Metlifecare Greenwich Gardens Village Stage 4 & 5, Unsworth Heights (Contract value $65.5 million). In total, $108 million worth of work was completed at the retirement village.
Construction of the Megan Jaffe Ray White Office in Remuera (Contract value $5.3 million).
The Sistema Plastics Manufacturing Facility wins the Supreme Award at the NZ Property Council awards evening, along with the best Industrial Property Award.
