This significant development in Manukau consists of three projects: a six-storey office building, a separate two-level office/retail building and a two-storey 20,000m2 retail precinct centring around a Countdown supermarket.

Each of these projects had demands for a high level of finish, particularly in the concrete panels and clock tower of the tallest office tower and concrete curves in the low-rise office building. Utilising precast concrete panels for speed of construction the team had to manage a complicated craning-in sequence, with close attention to detail in aligning the panels, particularly in the clock tower.

Adding to the complexity of the project, the 10,000 sq.m suspended retail floor was formed as post-tensioned slabs – the first of its kind for Haydn & Rollett – showing the team’s ability to adapt to new and innovative building solutions.
