Ballistic glass, ‘hold rooms’, barred doors and monitoring devices – this project to build and fit out a high-end vault was a first for Haydn & Rollett, providing a crash course in the kind of security measures required for a modern safe-deposit-box facility. The scope of works included a fully secure carpark, two-inch thick bullet-proof glass for the main entrance doors and windows, a staged entry sequence, a 1.5 tonne main vault door, the vault itself and a handful of private rooms where clients view the contents of their boxes.
