Custom waiter stations form the centrepiece of the joinery package created for SkyCity’s Orbit Restaurant in Auckland. Combining solid timber, timber-grained Melteca, fluted glass and powder-coated metal, the new joinery contributes to a considered refresh of the restaurant while supporting its day-to-day operation.

The wider scope included bathroom vanities, timber trims and stair balustrades. With the restaurant set on a curved, rotating platform, every element needed to carefully follow the existing footprint. Components were templated onsite, fabricated in the workshop, then disassembled and reconstructed in place.
