It’s not often a reception counter makes such a dramatic impression as the one Haydn & Rollett’s joinery department created for the new National Storage facility in Albany.
Made mostly of formica with a standard Melteca workstation sitting in behind, it’s imposingly large for a start, and makes bold use of National Storage’s signature black and yellow (with a little charcoal thrown into the mix) corporate colour scheme.
There’s also the unique design, based around a couple of striking angles that create the effect of a giant packaging box seen in cross-section.
As well as the reception counter, the team built a small kitchenette for staff and a couple of sinks around the facility.
