This was a seismic strengthening exercise on a commercial property near Auckland Airport. With the tenant not keen on major works inside the building, the solution involved bolting 2.2 x 1 metre galvanised plates to the exterior of the precast concrete panels, effectively locking everything together. (Plates were also used internally at the four corners.) Because this was a live site, it was a priority to try to keep the tenants informed and happy.
