Part of the repurposing of a commercial building on College Hill, this fitout of an upmarket wine retail outlet and function space turned into an all-hands-on-deck project for Haydn & Rollett’s joinery department, involving nine staff plus contractors and six busy weeks of manufacturing. Among the challenges was the fact the team was working with either unfamiliar or demanding materials, including polished oak veneer boards, specialty stonework for the bench tops, and Archant woven wire mesh panelling for some of the wine display cabinets.
